Sometimes, I need to call/ pick up the phone from overseas. Today we are talking about the phone conversation 

country code →國碼 ex: taiwan +886

area code → 區域碼  ex: taipei (02)

To leave a message, press the pound sign. 若要留言，請按#字鍵

When you call...  

👩 Hello,this is Stella from _____,(Taiwan). May I speak to _ Mr.A _?

Or you may say “ Could you put (a call) through _Mr.A _?”-可以請你幫我轉接xxx嗎？(畢竟，很多時候都是總機接線，要請他幫你轉到相對應部門有時也得碰運氣呢~)

When you pick up the phone...

👩  ​​​​​​​Hi, this is Stella. What can I do for you today?/ May I ask who are you calling, please?

💁 ​​​​​​​ May I speak to Stella,please?

👩 ​​​​​​​ Yes, this is Stella/ or...

I'm sorry, She is in a meeting now. Could you call back later?

               She is on the phone. May I have your name and phone number? 

               She is away from her table. Let me check she is in or not.

               She is out. Would you like to leave a message?

  This is the first step to pick up the phone, that's trying it.
