In general, I have an English class for Bob on Wednesday, but this week....

Bob: Hi, Stella, I would like to take a personal leave for English class tomorrow.

Me: Okay, but what's your plan tomorrow?

Bob: I am going to repair my car. I am afraid that I won't be able to come back to class.

Me: Oh, cool, I have never known you can repair cars.

Bob: The spark plug (火星塞) is clogged so I need to drive it to factory maintenance.

Stella: So there is someone will help you to change the component, not done by yourself, right? 

Bob: Sure, how could I do that by myself, it is not my field.

So, do you find anything confused?

Bob想要說的是"我明天要去修車"

I repair my car.=我(自己)修車，自己有修車的技能

I have my car repaired.我(花錢)請別人幫我修車

所以上面那句話應該改成 I am going to have my car repaired.

這邊是"使役動詞"的用法，就是請別人幫我們效勞--get/have sth 受詞  的結構

There are some examples:

I cleaned my room.  我(自己很勤勞的)打掃自己的房間

I have my room cleaned. 我(花錢)請人打掃我的房間

I cut the apple 我(自己很賢慧的)切蘋果

I have the apple cut. 我(花錢)請人幫我切水果 (有這種工作嗎?我也要去應徵)
