They two are my students ! Haha, actually, the man is my student who is introduced by his wife. His wife just accompanies him to learn and browse websites to shop.

Last summer, after the couple took a trip back from Thailand, Anna told me that her husband(just call him Bob) made a determination to learn English. He was beaten because he understood what the vendor said, but he couldn’t reply fluently. (such a good motivation)In order to build his interest and confidence to speak, Anna asked me could I help him to try the first step?

I told her I would like to help if our time matched and if you don’t really mind the grammars because I can’t promise my grammar is definitely correct. So, we started our English journey…

We always have different topics, such as greeting, asking for direction, restaurant, shopping etc.. Oh! We also had English songs for some classes. (shallow)

I prepare the topic for Bob and Anna by practicality and aptitude each time, however, he didn’t review hard. You know how could I know?

I had a quiz to him sometimes to make sure he knew what I said and knew how to answer. He hasn’t only replied stammer, also looked at me confused. Of course, we had good dialogues sometimes and just sometimes….

And last December, I was not in Taipei for one month, I asked him to review and preview some chapters. When I came back, he told me he was in the “winter vacation “already…then we met one or twice before Chinese New Year…Having said that, he is not a good student, but I still enjoy the moment with them. He still keeps strong eager to know more new things even though he is fatigued after work.

After that, I was going to China factories for two months and India. So we have a long time no for class. This year, the couple visited Hua Hin. And today is our first class after the last time we met. I gave them homework which is writing down 10 sentences to describe the trip. 

Then again, the place we had class today was distinctive. It’s not a common coffee shop, you can choose the mug by yourself.

While we were waiting for the food, Bob read his sentences to me. I was so surprised that he remembered many words and most of them can speak well.

This is my spaghetti and lemon sparkling water.  The drink tasted .... interesting.

Beer chicken soup in an electric cooker. -It tastes good.

The chicken salad was not reasonable, it was nothing special and the chicken thigh was over chewy (Anna complained)

The burger and fries are okay.

To sum up, the restaurant is unique for their containers, and the food.... not too much comment.

There are some problems for Bob, however, he can't count six"teen" and six'ty"  well which means, next time I need to teach him the number.
