I watched the movie by my friend's invitation.

I have no idea about the movie before I went to the cinema, I thought it was a horror movie, I even suggested that we should  catch the midnight screening at the cinema....

The story background is under martial law... some of the teachers organized a study club which took the students read some books.

The books about left-wing, Japanese relevant books, criticism current events are not being allowed to read, once you were found, you will be arrested, even suffer capital punishment(死刑)

However, there are still some students are eager for getting more knowledge, they think they have the right to read whatever they want, and there tragedy came from the girl who was under counseling ...

She was so naive that she thought if the one who wants to break she and her lover up  she just needed to peach other people's crimes then no one can stop they two together.

Unfortunately, her behavior let the teacher( her lover) lost his life because he is one of the head to organize the club.  She committed suicide(自殺) for self-blame and repeat it again and again, until she decided to face the truth and help the only one student left the school.

There are many metaphors in this movie, like people wear sack bags on their heads means people live under psychological stress, dominated minds and be overlooked every time.

I really can't believe how could they come over under the generation, live without thinking, just like a puppet. If you want to live, that is your only choice, being a good citizen, only follow the country says.

Nowadays, we can say everything what we want, read whatever books, all of those we need to thank our predecessors, without them , we can't get the freedom like today.

Apply to the movie's slogan "you forget or scared to remember?" Hope we will always remember it is not easy to get freedom
